Hi, everyone! Today, I’d like to welcome author Patricia Kiyono to Romantic Tales.
Thank you, Cherry, for inviting me to your lovely blog! I am so excited about the release of Three French Inns, my newest Christmas romance. I had a lot of fun writing about Peter and Caroline, even though I ran into a lot of frustrating problems trying to work out the plot and find resources about that time period. I was surprised that there is so little information about non-noble people living in rural areas of France just after the Revolution. But I’m so glad I kept going, and thanks to friends who helped me brainstorm, other acquaintances with expertise in that time period, and a looming deadline, the book was completed in time for the holiday!
Peter Brown joined His Majesty’s Army in the fight against Napoleon, but when he was wounded, a lovely French woman tended him. She was a recent widow, and they were on opposing sides of the war, so they went their separate ways. But he never forgot his “bel ange” — his beautiful angel.
Caroline Bouchard Duval marched with her husband in Napoleon’s army, eager to leave her sleepy village and see the world. But after being widowed, she returned to her childhood home in the French Alps. When a bloody traveler enters her father’s inn, she recognizes him immediately. Could this man give her another chance to fulfill her dreams?
I’d like to thank Patricia for sharing a little bit about her story with us. To learn more about her, and where to pick up a copy of her latest release, please take a moment to read her author bio.
She lives in southwest Michigan with her husband, not far from her children and grandchildren. Current interests, aside from writing, include sewing, crocheting, scrapbooking, and music. A love of travel and an interest in faraway people inspires her to create stories about different cultures.
Thanks for dropping by!
